Field Trip
City of
Vancouver Landfill and Delta Nature Reserve in Burns Bog
This
year' s field trip to the City of Vancouver Landfill and the Delta
Nature Reserve in Burns Bog was a great success. About 30 members took
in the sights at the dump and in the bog, two areas which are, in their
own ways, at the center of issues of land use and soil
conservation. Many thanks to our presenters Mike Van Ham and Thomas
Munson, as well as the guides from the City of Vancouver Landfill and
the Burns Bog Conservation Society, for their participation and
expertise.
