2017 Summer Soil ID Course: Southern Vancouver Island

The PRSSS 2017 Soil ID Field Course took place in Southern Vancouver Island – Saanich Peninsula from May 23 – 25, 2017.

Class Size: 25 people

Learning Objectives:

Upon completing this course, participants will know how to:

  • texture a soil
  • dig a soil pit for description and interpretation purposes
  • differentiate and describe horizons
  • interpret soils and landscapes for possible land uses using a basic approach

Fees:

The registration fee is $120 for students and $160 for professionals.  Registrants also need to be members of PRSSS (membership fees are $10 for students and $20 for professionals).
